A local security company that answers the phone.
Tiger K9 Security Services is run from Dunstable by people who have spent years working sites, gates and events themselves.
Who we are
We started Tiger K9 because too many security contracts are won by large national firms and then delivered by whoever is available that night. Clients end up with a different face every shift, a call centre instead of a supervisor, and nobody who really knows the site.
We do it differently. Our officers are directly employed, work regular sites so they learn them properly, and are backed by a supervisor who is on the phone day and night. Dog teams are at the heart of what we do because for open sites they simply work better than anything else.
We are small enough that the person who quotes your job is the person you call if there is ever a problem.
Where we work
We are based in Dunstable and cover Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and north London, including Luton, Milton Keynes, Bedford, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Watford, Aylesbury and Stevenage.
For long-term contracts further afield, ask. If we can staff it properly, we will take it on. If we cannot, we will tell you.
Standards we work to
- SIA licensing
Every officer holds a current Security Industry Authority licence for the role they are doing. Licences are checked before the first shift and re-checked on the SIA register throughout employment.
- Vetting and screening
Officers are screened in line with BS 7858, the British Standard for security screening, including identity, right-to-work and employment history checks.
- Dog handling
Handlers and dogs are trained and assessed for general-purpose security work, with welfare, kennelling and handling in line with BS 8517-1 guidance for security dogs.
- Insurance
Public liability and employer's liability insurance in place for every contract. Certificates are provided with your quote.
- Reporting
Daily reports from every shift, incident reports the same day, and a monthly summary for ongoing contracts.
